Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information MAEVYN LLC ("MAEVYN," "we," "us," "our") collects through maevyn.pro (the "Platform"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to both clients browsing the directory and professionals with listings.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. Professionals also provide profile information: name, business details, specialties, location (city and ZIP), bio, social media links, booking link, photos, and video.

Inquiry information. When a client submits an inquiry to a professional, we collect the client's name, email address, and message. This information is shared with the professional so they can respond, and stored so we can provide inquiry tracking and analytics to professionals.

Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card number. We receive and store billing-related records from Stripe, such as your subscription tier, status, and Stripe customer identifiers.

Waitlist and marketing information. If you join a waitlist or opt in to updates, we collect your email address for that purpose.

Usage information. We collect standard technical data when you use the Platform: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interactions such as profile views, search appearances, and booking-link clicks. Professionals see this data in aggregate form in their analytics dashboard; it is not used to identify individual clients to professionals.

Cookies. We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication (keeping you logged in), affiliate referral tracking (see Section 4), and basic analytics.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate the directory: display profiles, power search and comparison, and deliver inquiries
  • Process subscriptions and manage billing
  • Send transactional emails: account notices, inquiry notifications, approval status, billing and payment notices
  • Send lifecycle and marketing emails to professionals about their listing (you can opt out of marketing emails at any time; transactional emails are part of having an account)
  • Provide analytics to professionals about their own listing performance
  • Review and curate listings
  • Protect the Platform: prevent fraud, abuse, scraping, and unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share client contact information with anyone other than the professional a client chooses to contact.

3. Service Providers

We use a small set of service providers to run the Platform. Each receives only the data needed to do its job:

  • Supabase, database and authentication hosting
  • Stripe, payment processing and subscription billing
  • Cloudflare, website hosting, content delivery, video hosting, and security (including bot protection)
  • Resend, transactional and lifecycle email delivery
  • Rewardful, affiliate referral tracking

These providers process data under their own privacy and security terms and may store data on servers in the United States.

4. Affiliate Tracking

If you arrive at MAEVYN through an affiliate's referral link, Rewardful sets a cookie so the referral can be credited if you subscribe. This cookie contains a referral identifier, not your personal details. Blocking this cookie doesn't affect your ability to use the Platform.

5. What's Public

Approved professional profiles are public by design: name, business information, specialties, location, bio, photos, video, social links, and booking link are visible to anyone using the directory. Professionals control this content through their dashboard. Email addresses are not published on profiles. Client accounts and inquiry contents are not public.

6. Data Retention

We keep account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If a professional cancels, we retain the profile in an inactive state so it can be reactivated; you can request full deletion instead (see Section 8). Inquiry records are retained to provide lead tracking to professionals. Billing records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. We may retain limited data as needed to enforce our Terms, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level access controls on our database, restricted access to billing data, and platform-level bot and abuse protection. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting professional and client data seriously. It's the foundation the directory is built on.

8. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correction. Professionals can view and edit their profile information anytime through their dashboard. For anything else, email us.
  • Marketing opt-out. Every marketing or lifecycle email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional emails (billing, security, inquiry delivery) continue as long as you hold an account.
  • Deletion. You can request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing us. We'll complete deletion within 30 days, except for records we're legally required to keep.
  • Cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Authentication cookies are required to stay logged in.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as the right to know, delete, or correct personal information). We honor verified requests regardless of your state of residence. To exercise any right, contact us at the address below.

9. Children

The Platform is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date, and account holders will be notified by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
